Default MESA Direct Entry Captain

Anybody have any information on the direct entry captain positions at Mesa?

What qualifications are they looking for?

What aircraft are they seeking Capts in?

What is training pay for Capts?

What the new Capts getting as bases?

Don't turn this into another Mesa bashing thread. BD is asking a legimate question. If one has nothing to offer but snide remarks about Mesa don't waste the OP's time or anyone elses.

Evidently there is no wait for captain in IAD. However, people have been waiting 6 months just to get sim time for their type rating. Add that to the typical Mesa rhetoric, and I'd definitely avoid at all costs..

I'll try not to bash here:

There are more than a few threads here that show there are more than a few issues going on there, I'd suggest reading a few of em. Mesa isn't the most popular place out there. Most people take issue with the management.

I have some issues myself with them, but I won't post em in the interest of not starting the mud slinging.

I think BD might be looking at another potential furlough, and he's looking for somewhere to go where he doesn't have to start at the bottom of a seniority list making $22K a year. Can't fault him for that. If I had a family to feed, was in the same situation and Mesa was hiring street CAs (or hiring FOs that could hold CA right out of training), I'd probably be researching it, too.

That being said, I have no relevant information on Mesa.

He does have to start at the bottom of the list, just not at 22K
