| Got an hour's time in a turbine today... BE20. It amazes me how quiet they are, and from all I have heard about starting them... they seemed really simple... at least for a normal start. So smooth compared to a piston, and boy does that KA climb.. there were only two of us aboard, but it was climbing 2500-3000'/min |

| Senior Member | I remember my first turbine flight like it was yesterday...There's just nothing cooler then hearing those motors spool up for the first time when you are the driver!

| I bet starting that thing is nothing compared to the C-130. I was max power engine run qualed while in the Air Force and those things were a pian to learn. Ounce you got it it was fun though. Having all 4 engines sitting at 900 TIT and pulling about 1800 in/lbs of tourque was a little nerve racking when your trying NOT to move...
