Default DFW Diversions

Due to major storms in the DFW area this afternoon, OKC was getting a TON of diversions. As I was sitting in my car eating lunch, I saw a Korean Air Cargo 747 land on 35R only to be followed minutes later by a KAL 777 on 35L. Being from OKC, that was awesome! A few other diversions were a pair of AA 757s from Jackson Hole and BWI, a few UA 737s, and an AA MD83 from SFO. I think ICT got a few diverts as well, but not sure about TUL.

I just got word that AAL has canceled the rest of their schedule out of DFW today.

Fun day.

East Texas Regional (KGGG) also got a few diversions from DFW. It's pretty neat seeing a bunch of MD-80s and a 737 sitting on the ramp at a smaller airport.

I had two turns to BTR cancelled.

We boarded, twice.

I'm currently waiting to see if my last leg to SGF is going to go or not.

Most of the Eagle flights later in the afternoon are still a 'go'. If they'll stay that way remains to be seen.

Bunch of diversions into LIT as well. I'm sitting here in the terminal right now under a non-stop barrage of PA announcements for flights which were diverted now going out. I'm trying to get to DAL though.

The radar pic didn't look real good a few minutes ago, but I don't totally know how to interpret these things very well yet.
