Default Logbook Help

I am missing a flight, but the thing is the flight was dual and the CFI has moved away.

How do I log the flight?

Can I log dual without the CFI sign off?

I don't think I would waste my time trying to log it. I know, you paid for it, and you deserve to log it, but what are you loosing, 1.5-2.0? Not much I am sure.

Were you already a private pilot at the time of the flight? If so, log it just as a normal flight and maybe put "lesson from John Instructor" in the remarks.

Another thing to think about is having a flight from how long ago out of place in your logbook. It may look a little fishy.

I the flight was from two months ago. It was 1.5 in a DA-42 so that is a good bit of money to not log it.

It's dual, right?

May have been some money...but in the grand scheme of things 1.5 of dual multi isn't that big of a deal.

If you're that bent over it, you can log it as total time without the CFI signature.

Problem is that =logging= dual requires that CFI signature.

Following up on dc3flyer's question, do you already have a pilot certificate with an AMEL rating? If yes, then you can log it as a normal flight with PIC flight time.

If not, then I think that you are in the same situation as a student pilot or a person with no pilot certificate at all - no loggable flight time.
