It sucks no matter who it was, but I flew with a bunch of those guys in the 62nd when I was instructing out there. I'm hoping it's not one of them. It did say it was a student, but with the media, who knows.

Did they confirm it? The Boston Globe says that they found "pilot gear" 150 feet from the wreck but an instructor pilot reports no chute.

Confirm what? If you are referring to a body, yes they have located him.
