| Q for those of you already at the airlines. I work for a regional. I just got a job offer working a non-aviation job where I can pull in around $65K for about a 2 month commitment, but I would pretty much need to do this other job 7 days a week. It's only a 2 month gig, but awfully hard to pass up that $. Is it possible to get a LOA for a non-emergency/medical issue? Would hate to have to resign at the airline since I'd have 10 months left of the year! Thanks.... Sean ![]() |

| I guess it depends on the airline but none of the 3 I have worked for allowed it....and I tried at all 3. Occasionally airlines will offer voluntary furloughs if they are overstaffed but you generally have to do it on their schedule...not yours. Short answer.....probably won't happen.

| Agent Smith | Talk to your chief pilot. I wouldn't necessarily count on it though!
