| Well, 2 weeks of flying and first passenger puked today!! I blame center and Burlington Approach...as they kept us extremely high going into BTV, so we descended FLCH and threw out all the speed brakes, so it wasn't the most comfortable descent. It was either that or get vectored around for a while in order to do the visual...so officially the 3 week old 175 is christened!!! How many of you have had someone hurl??? |

| Didn't affect me...the FA's had to take care of it and leave it in a bag for someone else to come in and dispose of it properly. We're not actually suppose to touch it. Now flight instructing..that was a different story..though I think only had 2 hurlers while instructing. |

| I made half an ATR barf once, according to the flight attendant. You know how KSAC is in the summer--we had vomiters all the time, especially on the intro flights. We had one female instructor who had a guy actually *vomit on her*....and then asked her out to dinner!1!!!

| I think I've only had one so far. Wasn't even a bumpy flight, but we were coming back from Mexico. Maybe he drank the water... haha

| 3+ years instructing and nearly 5 years flying, never had anyone lose it. Definitely had a few not feeling their best, but never actually puked. I attribute it to my Yeager-like flying abilities.

| Old Skool | I'm only on the job a couple of months and have had several hurlers. Last Saturday (while I was deadheading to ALB) was particularly bad. Everyone, including FA's had to remain strapped in for the entire flight. That was the day we were hit by lightning as well---so all in all a "fabulous" flight.

| Senior Member | Congrats on the first puke! It's a day you will never forget! ![]() As for me, I have had two puke shooters! Both while at 500 agl over the Hudson River on the Cordor...Something about being so low, and looking through a digital view finder on the camera gets em everytime hehe! |

| Off topic, but speaking of Yeager, have you talked to our friend from SLE recently? I think he called just about everyone he knew because he got to fly the man himself in the Citation the other day. Anyway, back on topic, nearly four years of flying and nearly two years of instructing and no hurlers yet. (knocks on wood) I did have a passenger not long ago though that clutched the barf bag (and my hand) so hard during some turbulence that she pierced through the material on the bag with her fingernails.

| We get lots of pukers in the Q400's in BOI every summer. Even got called in to do a puke clean up in the cockpit once. Captain lost it. Kept trying to tell me it was something he ate but from the smirk on the FO's face and the chuckling I doubt that was the case. |

| ASPilot2B can vouch for me about flying around PUW in the summer. All those wheat fields make for a heck of a ride in a C172. |

| My first (and only, as far as I know) was in the back of a CJC 1900. I was flying, and even with the YD on the plane was wagging its tail like a dog about to get a biscuit. Gusty winds and drafts, there were. I was standing at the bottom of the stairs and a passenger walked out clutching a sick sack. I imagine looking up the isle and right out the front windscreens didn't help, watching the horizon slide left and right like that.... ![]()

| Senior Member | I had one coming into GSP a month ago, and the only other time I've seen it happen was on a deadhead on a TSA embraer......nothing quite like the feeling of the kid behind you unloading lunch all over the back of your seat. Guess they aren't as padded as I thought they were.

| PUW in winter is gorgeous. Hell's Canyon covered in snow is worth the flight if you want to head that way. Yeah 23 can be a bear in the evening. In the summer you never know if you will catch an updraft or a downdraft coming over the hill. |

| We had a Q200 coming into PUW from LWS and they diverted back to LWS due to the turbulance around PUW. Captain was afraid they picked up structural damage. 17 pukers on a 8 minute flight. Glad I worked in PUW and not LWS. |
