| Senior Member | I am getting ready to send my resume to some regional airlines. Republic Airways, ASA, and possibly Mesa Airlines. I have enough experience to fill up two pages, but I have heard that some companies frown on two page resumes. I could cram it all onto one page, but only if I make the print really small. What do you guys think? Is it better to send a one page or a two page resume?

| Old Skool | One page. You can condense it without making the print look small.

| You should write your resume on one page so that someone can skim it in 10 seconds and figure out if you are worth investigating or not. If you print is so small they can't read it in that lenght of time, guess what will happen to it? Use a 10 or 12 point font and only put enough info there to convey your strengths. If they want to find out more, they will ask. Think of your resume like a movie trailer. The trailer doesn't tell the whole story line, it just shows enough highlights to make you want to buy a ticket to see the whole movie.

| Senior Member | One page, one page, one page... Put stuff on there that is relevant, not everything. Remember these people review them and make the yes/no decision in a matter of seconds. Think of it this way: would you rather go over a reading assignment that's multiple pages, or just one? However, with the way a lot of the regionals are hiring right now, if you have the hours, it probably won't matter Oh, and are you SURE you want to go to Mesa???

| Senior Member | Thanks for all the info guys. I'm going to work on condensing my resume on to one page so that it highlights my strengths, my previous employment, and of course my flight hours. I would imagine that with 3,400 TT, 700 multi, and part 135 freight experience I stand a pretty good chance of getting noticed.

![]() With that kind of time you could probably get a charter gig if you wanted to go that route.

| Senior Member | Here's my resume as of a couple years ago. Granted, the watermark is a bit overboard, but it seemed to impress them. As one who spent several years looking at pilot resumes, this is what I liked to see.

I figure with my times, I can definitely get into a top tier regional. I have heard a lot of good things about Republic Airways. They are at the top of my list.

Hey Cheechako your resume looks pretty cool with the Alaska 737 in the background. I gotta try something like that. Did you do that in MS Word?

| Senior Member | I used Photoshop Elements to get it washed out just right, then used the "watermark" option in Word.
