| Mesaba is offering COLA's its posted on there crew room door in DTW... I found it hard to believe to, I had to stop and read it twice. Its something like 15 Capts 10 FO's and 15 F/A's. I guess they are going to lose some saab cities out of DTW due to load factor and wgt rest... CRW is going RJ's and I hear that CHO will be next, but there must be more to that story. |

| Old Skool | Actually with the USAirways benefits we can buy Business Class ZED fares on Lufthansa and Swiss. I am wondering that if a flight is sold as only one class, if we are eligible to buy IDs/ZED fares for that flight.

![]() My comment was directed towards more the fact that you have been called out for using the whole "over there" reference, when in reality, you are at XJT. So, an "over here" reference would have been more appropriate. Unless you've left the company? | |

Some people like to never name their employer on the internet, for various reasons. People with usernames such as yours do not give their name away unless they specifically post it somewhere. Others such as the webmaster and the poster who started this thread use their real name, so it may be advantageous to not divulge quite so much information sometimes. Hence the whole "SouthernJets" knickname. I intend not to sound rude here, but if someone online repeatedly does not answer the question of where they work, no matter how obvious they might let it be through what they post, maybe you ought to just let it go.

| Old Skool | Speaking of that, I actually met a Chris Ford who was a pilot the other day. I don't think it was you though because he wasn't an ass and was married to a larger lady. ![]() |

I wasn't talking about using good computer skills to track the IP address of a user to find out where they live, who their name is, or who they work for. What I was referring to was the usual assortment of remarks directed at Chris_Ford that are obviously pointless because it is clear that he is one of many on here and other forums that simply do not directly give away who their employer is. I'm one of them, too (right now anyway). Despite it being quite easy to track down by reading all of a user's posts, there are those who choose to post without giving their employer out. For example, someone might fly for Singapore as a B-747 captain. If they divulged that information they might feel a bit less inclined to answer a question on here with as many specifics as they'd like to write. They might not be able to include as many personal experiences at work, or opinions of their employer. But if that same person just posted as an "expat 747 pilot" then they might give themselves a bit more freedom as to what they can write. So, again, my point was not that people are untrackable on the internet, but rather, some people aren't going to publicly admit for working for a particular company and those who "figured it out" aren't exactly Sherlock Holmes for doing so, and they might as well drop the subject after they realize that the person doesn't want the information to be posted online.

| Old Skool | The corporate stuff is being done by guys on the Express seniority list. It's also making money, paying bills and expanding. If it makes the company money, then awesome, that's all I care about. And those guys really have it good too, 90 hour guarantee, $18 an hour override and home based (positive space travel to their assignments).

| IP addresses are trivial to spoof. You can even spoof a MAC address (not that you can track one remotely easily at all).

Mesaba was doing just fine last time i checked. Where do folks get this stuff? Its getting as bad as "check airmen" rumors in this thread. All the best to Xjet, i got a friend over there who is one award away from upgrade. Hope things work out. PS. I quoted kelwolf for when i shoulda quoted the guy who originally said Mesaba was getting COLA's. But i'm too stupid to switch it around so i apologize to Kel, i was laughing at the guy he quoted.

| Agent Smith | Rumors are funny. Last week riding to JFK, there was a Republic crew talking about where they're going to redeploy JetBlue's assets or maybe even combine them with Frontier... captain heard from a check airman that heard from someone else they're apparently buying them both.
