Default General walkthrough - starting ATC

Im soon to be joining the Air National gaurd. Im probably going to be training out in Denver and I was wondering if anyone of you seasoned ATC's have had experience in this route and if so, if you can shed some light on how long it actually took you to actually land a position. From what i've heard, you have the option of applying up to 5 states. I'm probably going to end up choosing california, nevada, new york, and possibly oregon. PLEASE REPLY!

i think your post needs a little clarification...

Are you aspiring to become an Air Traffic Controller, and doing so by training with the Air National Guard? Then you are further asking that since you are using the Guard to train, has anyone else taken this path to become an Air Traffic Controller (and how long it took)?

Is that what you're asking?
