Did you all know that Berkshire Hathaway owns both Flight Safety and NetJets/NetJetsEurope?

I get bored and just start researching things and came across that today.

Man, they have the worst website ever! I guess they really don't need one though.

Yes... Can't afford class A shares but the class B is almost a no-brainer to own!

GEICO stands for Government Employees Insurance Company.

GEICO was founded by Leo Goodwin and his wife Lillian Goodwin in 1936 to market auto insurance directly to federal government employees and their families. GEICO's business model was based on the assumption that such persons would constitute a more financially stable and less risky pool of potential insureds than the general public. After real-time access to computerized driving records became available in the 1970s throughout the United States, GEICO began to insure the general public in addition to its target demographics. There is some completely worthless information for you all to chew on!! I need to get out of this house...

WB was on tv yesterday saying that he was considering a Class C share. . .but that it wouldn't attract the type of investors he is interested in.

You want me to talk you up so you can get that gig? You'll have to move here, of course, but hey, it's warmer than in MSP.

BH owns NetJets, which flies corp. jets. BH owns GEICO which flies corp. jets. Crazy!!

Actually, it wasn't supposed to mean anything; it was just supposed to be funny. Obviously not. I shall go give myself 20 lashes with a wet noodle. Bad poster!!

Yeah, what's up with you? I've seen more humor (and attempted humor) from you in the last few days than in I-don't-know-how-long! Any good news to go along with the good mood? Too early to be an end to the winter blues, at least in Minny-sooota.

Well, it was teasing us last week with upper-30s-40s. Then, 10 degrees yesterday. Now it's snowing. March is a cruel month. It seems like spring, but then we get our worst snowstorms of the year.

Not really any particular good news. I'm working on another cert. now after about a year away, so my mind's back on aviation. Besides, things are gettin' way too serious around here. Gots ta try to keep things jolly. Or, in the words of Abraham Lincoln, I laugh because I do not wish to cry.

Or maybe its just the booze.

Make it 40. And a dry noodle. It'll break quicker so you don't have to continue.

I think GEICO had both a Falcon and a King Air, and all the pilots hated flying the King Air. Or maybe that was Gannett. It's been a long time since I've talked to either of the folks who were working those gigs about their fleets.
