| Senior Member | Anyone ever get him before when calling WX-Brief? He gets my vote for briefer of the year! Everytime I call up and get him the guy is so energetic. I'm wide awake now after my briefing hehe. |

| Old Skool | We got a ride to the Lansing airport one morning by a lady driving the hotel shuttle bus. She asked if we had talked to a briefer that morning, and if we hadn't, to try to get the Lansing FSS (this was post Lockheed central calling system) and ask for "Jim at the tiki hut". Jim is her husband and evidently answers the phone "Jim's Tiki Hut" during the winter time. |

| Has anyone else called the Lockheed system and received a briefer who had no idea about anything? We seem to get people from down south who can't figure out where we are and/or where we're going a lot. I know it's remote, but sheesh!

| Senior Member | I just think the guy is so funny because every time I get him, He opens with "HI IT's MICHAEL GRAVES", and the best radio commercial announcer's voice ever...It's comical, but the guy does a good job. I use FLTplan.com every once and a while when going IFR, but WX-brief aint that bad anymore either. Maybe it's because i'm requesting Connecticut, but I can't remember the last time I was put on hold and had to wait. They seem to have gotten their act together. |

| Old Skool | Yeah, that dude is extremely helpful and appears to love his job. I had a student almost have to hang up because she was laughing at his enthusiasm during the entire briefing.

| Old Skool | Hey I think I've talked to "Jim at the tiki hut"! Nice guy. We have a controller in MKE who has a radio annoucer's voice. Real nice guy. Almost always says "Good Day to ya!" when he hands you off.
