Chicago Center Issues Today!?!

Was notified by the GF (who's DFW to ORD flight is being delayed) that all Chicago traffic is delayed due to ATC issues.

Anyone have any info?

This is the only advisory I see for ORD.

And it's due to winds (weather).

But of course, everyone likes to pass it off as ATC's fault that things are delayed, because they are humans and it's eaiser to blame humans than the fact that weather is an issue.

Thanks for the update.............I told her it was probably due to wind!

At the same time you heard the gate personnel (while I was on the phone with her) over the PA explicitly say "Due to ATC issues in Chicago, all inbound AC to Chicago will be delayed..........."

I kind of chuckled and told her wind!

You could technically say it is due to ATC delays. The ATCSCC is part of "ATC" and they are the ones implementing the delays. But yes, I think its lame that just about EVERY delay these days is due to ATC...especially when delays are due to volume.
