I attended a presentation by JetBlue and they explained that if a pilot lost their medical he/she would be paid for 60% of their current salary until they got their medical back or until they turn age 65. It sounded like a great offer, I was just wondering what other Major airlines have this same sort of program? Thanks

Allegiant had some guys on full pay until they got their medical back. One guy was out for over two years. | |

Can you only get loss of license insurance from your airline? Or are there any independent plans? This is something I'm constantly worried about (even on my pithy $18,000 salary).
