Default Commute: LAX-DEN / LAX-STL

I would appreciate any info on commuting between LAX-DEN and LAX-STL.

Is it doable? Which one is less painful?

Thanks in advance.

Prolly DEN. I think there is 20 some flights a day between, DL (Xjet), UA, F9, AA.

Denver for sure (2 hr rather than 4 hr)... but you have to ask yourself about overall quality of life and scheduling issues. Will you be sitting reserve? When can you hold a line? Are the schedules commutable? and etc. In that case, one might be better over another.

And is there anyway I could find out what the average loads are for each city from LAX.

I would think flights going to DEN are usually more crowded than flights to STL. But that's just an assumption.

Hey T,

check out www.passrider.com.

It lists all the flights per day for any particular route, including stopovers (which it lists under the "VIA" column).

dont know abt loads tho. you should be fine.

LAX-DEN should be very doable, I was doing ONT-DEN without a problem and I only had 5 flights a day.

LAX-DEN, is WAY easier than LAX-stl. STL is a ghost town after 5pm or so. So if you get a late release, your spending the night in a hotel or crashpad. In DEN, i would assume the last flight to LAX is probably around 10pm or so. Do DEN, you'll thank me. haha

I was in DEN last week and the airport is in the middle of no where. May be hard to find a crashpad close to the airport. Use www.airwise.com instead of passrider. Passrider doesn't come up on some computers for some reason and airwise will give you all the SWA flights too.

You will probably also need a car in DEN if you will be using a crash pad. The airport isn't close to anything. Not even the hotels that are supposed to be "at the airport."
