Default Jetway Smells???

While walking down a Jetway in MDT with Seggy I hear him say...

"I love that smell".

Me: "Huh? You mean you love the smell of a RJ!?!?''

Seggy: "Shutup! Don't tell anyone!"

Sure enough when we get to the end of the jetway there's a mesa CRJ 700 /900 or something. Funny coming from a guy who supposedly hates RJ's.

I've always wondered what exactly that smell is that comes off a Boeing. Airbus doesn't seem to have it. It's quite distinct, anyone else know what I'm talking about?

It's a strange combo of lav, people, JetA, smelly people, airplanes that haven't been cleaned in years, more smelly people, jet ways that were never cleaned in the last 30 years of their existence, disgusting people that trash airplanes, and more lav.

It could be me then but I swear Boeing's jetways have a distinct smell different from all others.

One more reason to love corporate jets.

I know in DTW there was a big stinking pile of dog crap on the slightly recessed metal side of the jetway for weeks.

Kinda did a double take "is that the same crap...is this the same gate as last week...I think it is!"
