| I'd like to know how he planned on taking over the cockpit with handcuff's and duck tape! I don't think a highjacking could ever be successful again after 9/11. People will just rush the highjackers because that are going to think they have nothing to lose anyway. |

| Agent Smith | Dem Jonas Brothas made him do it.

| Senior Member | I don't fly for a 121 airline, and I don't know what policy's they have for a situation like this, but if I were part of the flight crew and someone tried to take over, especially a 16 year old kid, I would beat the ever lifing piss out of him! What a moron. |

| I'm not sure of the details, but he said he wanted to crash into a hannah montana concert. If he had no experience at all flying and being extremely familiar with lafayette how would he find it??? shows how stupid people are. |

| Senior Member | I first heard about this Friday morning. Something that was left out in the article, that was mentioned on the radio, was the kid apparently had MSFS and some posters of cockpits in his room to "study".

Personally, I'm glad the TSA didn't confiscate duct tape, rope and handcuffs. Only time that'd be reasonable was if the dude brought enough for everyone on the plane. | |

| I think he probably wanted to see if Microsoft Flight Sim would really prepare him how to fly a 777-300ER (ok, yes, I know Southwest only flies '37s, Max, don't correct me... ). I think people wouldn't had taken it seriously. They would've thought he was cute.ok, of course I'm joking. ![]() |

![]() Still at it heh? After what, 6-7 years, now? Still milking post-9/11 paranoia/hysteria to boost ratings? Guess so. The sad thing is some people still actually seem to buy it... ![]()

| Old Skool | Planet of the Apes, man. Planet of the Apes. People like this who would have been eaten by saber tooth tigers back in the day now survive to pass their inferior genetic material on. Someday, humans and apes are going to cross each other on the intelligence scale and then we're going to end up with Planet of the Apes. And it's hijack. |
