Couple ASA Questions

Anyone know the situation with the 700 and 200 as far as new hires go? Ive heard that the 700 reserve is up to a year or more and the 200 is only 1-2 months. If given the 700 does that mean reserve for a very long time no matter what or is there any way to get the 200?
