| My oldest son will complete his Army enlistment later this year. He is a UAV operator (Shadow) and has approximately 1700 flight hours to date. Rumor has it that Spokane, WA is the hotbed of UAV production/operation in the western U.S., but Google searches have proven to be relatively fruitless. Any suggestions based on your experience would be much appreciated. As a high school guidance counselor, I may be able to use this information for more students in the future. Thanks, KP |

| Old Skool | I know someone who works with a defense contractor who might know of a UAV job. I'll check and get back to you if I find anything. |

| Here's one company in California that deals with UAVs and is looking for pilots. http://www.ga-asi.com/careers/index.html Raytheon, Northrop Grumman would be other companies to check as well.

| I spent many years in the Inland Northwest, and don't know much about UAV opportunities, though that doesn't mean they are not there. I would suggest you/he check out Insitu Inc. in SW Washington, (PDX) area. www.insitu.com Rapidly growing company, hoping to double in size within the year I believe I heard. They seem to have a pretty good reputation around the area. |

| "Rumor has it that Spokane, WA is the hotbed of UAV production/operation in the western U.S." I've lived in Spokane for years and never heard of this.

| I saw something on climbto350.com not to long ago about UAV ops in Spokane. I'm not a member, so I couldn't get the details. You might want to check there. |

| Senior Member | I think the UAV "hotbed" if you will, is actually southern california. General atomics is based San diego, and Lockheed martin is in the area as well. I have a buddy that flies a UAV chase plane in the Victorville area.
