| I'm reviewing everything getting for my PPL checkride, but am not sure about the ending of these Meters: KIAD 201752Z COR 31014G23KT 10SM FEW055 M07/M19 A3032 RMK AO2 SLP271 T10671189 11061 21083 50006 4/001 KCHO 201753Z 29007KT 250V310 10SM CLR M05/M23 A3031 RMK AO2 SLP268 T10501228 11044 21083 50007 KBWI 201754Z 28014G21KT 10SM FEW050 M06/M18 A3030 RMK AO2 SLP260 T10561183 11050 21072 50009 I've looked in the AIM but can't figure out what the numbers mean. Also, the remark SLP271 would mean Sea Level Pressure in hectoPascals & tenths, i.e. 1027.1 hPa, according to the AIM. But my question is, how would you use them? |

| Senior Member | I have no clue what the numbers mean. I just looked in Aviation Weather Services, and they make no mention of what the numbers represent in the METAR section. I highly doubt an examiner would ask what those mean. |

| Old Skool | You won't. They have extremely little value to aviation customers. But, to meteorologists and climate specialists, they mean a great deal. |
