Default ASA 200 or 700?

Anyone know what they are assigning to new hires the 200 or 700? It seems that the 200 would be the only way to go with reserve being less than 2 months and the 700 being nearly a YEAR. Im assuming you get the 200.

You could get any 3 of the aircraft. How old are you?

YEAH, you assumed right. Bid anything but the 700 reserve now well over a year. Reason, senior FOs on ATR and 200 bid the 700 as soon as they can hold line because I hear its the baddest mofo in the sky, pushing you further down an already looonnnggg list.

I can vouch for that. Lowest seniority lineholder on the 700 is about 13 months seniority. All though, from what I can tell so far under the new contract, being a high seniority reserve pilot isn't bad at all (if you live in base)

Im in my early 20s. Fairly young. Assuming you get assinged the 700 means reserve for a year? Or can you bid down to the 200? Im a little confused.

He asked you your age for a specific reason. Early 20s doesn't tell us anything.

21? 22? 23? Seniority per class is dependent on age.

Yeah one of the guys in my indoc was coming of 5yr LOA and he was so shocked by the new reserve rules he thought the contract was created by new hires lol! He's says its alot better than what it used to be. Me at first glance I had no clue what half that stuff meant. Guess I'll find out in a couple weeks

You can bid down.. after your aircraft freeze expires. So if you get the 700 you can expect 4-5 months of training (for a new hire) plus 1 year aircraft freeze.

Okay, so wear the shirt and eppulets over a pair of jeans!

Of course I was kidding, anyone who shows up in full unform, or half is a tool, and you didn't strike me as a tool in Vegas Marcus!

Seriously though is this the first time the ATL crew has gotten together? Take pictures, I love seeing M&G pics!

So let me get this straight? If I exit class at the age of 29 I'll get a higher number than my younger classmates? Are there any merit based incentives?

So bottom line get the 700 and your reserve for a year at this point in time no matter what? Get the 200 and your only 1-2 months?

Nah. Mastermags, Naunga, and I had the very first ATL M&G in 2004ish. I think we even had pictures.
