| I heard American eagle is hiring with as little as 300TT and that republic is taking guys with as little as 500TT and 50 multi. Can you guys rank the regional by score so I can get an idea of who is good from who is a slave driver? Please rate on a scale of 1-10 and if you want you can explain why! Republic Airwasy ___________- ASA___________ Piedmont__________ Colgan____________- PSA___________ TSA___________ Air Swissconsin______________ Pinnacle_____________ |

| Nearly impossible to rank. What's good for one person is not good for the next guy. It's complicated, but when making a choice you need to look at pay, work rules, bases, etc that would work well for your situation. I would and have advised against chasing upgrade time around because a quick upgrade could go to a several year upgrade in the blink of an eye; then you better get comfy in your seat and hope that the airline's pay, work rules, bases and etc are good for your situation.

| OK…I’ll bite. Republic 10…Has 4 domiciles within 2hrs of Cincinnati. Pay is decent, posts from current pilots seem on the happy side. ASA 9…my second choice. Easy commute from Cincy, good pay, fast upgrade PSA 8…my third choice. Junior domice of DAY is only a 1hr drive from Cincy, decent pay. I spoke with a current FO and he says he likes it…and he seemed to be somewhat of a complainer in general. Oh yea…then there is the whole Airnet debate that has been running in my head for the past month as well. My best advice is to search here and airlinepilotcentral as well and try to talk with some current pilots for advice. Good luck!

I mean I dont understand what the big deal on rating an airline is. I did say EXPLAIN EXPLAIN! Maybe its a dumb post but atleast ONE person got the EXPLAIN part and rated a few airlines. PROPS to you bro!!! |

| Lets see I did post a job that is available with eagle! So.... maybe next time ill post the captain name and number who was looking for recruits. Maybe the rating bonus at the end of the bonus did not live up the the "heavy" requirements, but Im just a small time pilot looking for some answers. I guess ill look for the AIRLINE REVIEWS post section next time. Also, for your informatiom Mr. "Heavy" I do read my post thank you! |

| Old Skool | SWA & America West are by far the best two regional airlines! Bar none. |

| Old Skool | Since when did ASA become the place to go for a fast upgrade?

| I'm with Eagle and I can only speak from my experience, so here goes: Many bases to choose from and you get to choose your base BEFORE you start training (i.e., if a base isn't open for one class, you can defer until it is open). The bases are as follows: DFW = CRJ-700, EMB, Saab ORD = CRU-700, EMB BOS = EMB LGD = EMB LAX = EMB, Saab MIA = ATR SJU = ATR Pay is on the top-end for all regionals out there. Starting pay at any regional sucks, but second year, especially if you're on a jet, is not bad. QOL (Quality of Life) depends largely on you and what you can tolerate. I highly recommend living in base and not commuting. Commuting can get hard, especially while you're on reserve. Upgrade time is the downside right now (only pilots upgrading right now have been here since before 9/11), but that will change soon - maybe even this year. AMR (our parent company) has announced its plans to divest itself of Eagle and there are many rumors out there, but as of yet there has been zero movement on that issue since the announcement in November. Largest concensus around Eagle & American (can't speak for what the word on the street is or what people who don't work here think they know) is that the announcement was a ploy to get rid of or loudest investor (the FL Group out of Iceland) -who, immediately after the announcement - dumped all of their stock. What happens next is anyones guess. As for the airline itself, I enjoy it. Very nice equipment, very well maintained, a lot of routes to choose from - especially if you're on the EMB. Hope that helps. R2F

| It's close between Republic Airwasy and Air Swissconsin with Swissconsin getting the nod due to the hot Swiss FA's.

| Thanks for the responses guys! Like I mentioned it is based on personal taste and experience and that was what I was looking to hear.Despite all the airline saying they are hiring and having available position the fact it that many people have to make the decision on what airline fit them. Thanks for the responses and hopefully more will follow. |
