Default FedEx Experiences

I will be attending an orientation/application/testing session for FedEx on Jan. 24, 2008. This is for a Senior Aviation Maintenance Technician Position. I'm really excited about the opportunity. I must say, though, I don't know very much about the company inself in regards to what the culture is like and the overall experience of working for FedEx. So, in short, I'm just looking for anyone here that may shed some light on this subject.

Thanks everybody!

Al

Sorry, I can't give you any real info other than there are a lot of ex-Delta maintenance folks there and many more to follow! FedEx has been on a hiring spree and Delta has had AMT's resigning on a weekly basis.

I can't speak for the other carriers but from what I'm told the starting pay of a FedEx Senior Aviation Tech is more than a topped out line AMT at Delta.

If I run into ya in Lubbock, TX coffee is on me.

and Good Luck!

Friend of my dad's went there from USAir East in the late 90s, I guess he liked it pretty well.
