| Very interesting. The classic high wing v. low wing accident captured in pictures. It shows pictures of the accident taking place with captions below it. | Looking at that will make you be a little more careful next time you go up. Before today I had the "I'll see it coming" attitude. When I departed the pattern the tower told me that there was no traffic in the area. Right after she said that I spotted traffic at 3 o'clock, maybe a couple hundred feet lower. I took evasive action as a precaution. Then returning to the airport, the tower informed me of traffic at 12 o'clock. It took me quite a while to find it since the mountains where behind him. No question, vigilance is paramount in collision avoidance! |
