Why not just, I dunno, go learn to fly a real plane?

This thing looks like it would do an awesome job of teaching really uncoordinated turns.

| Old Skool | ![]() Simulated flying to me is like masturbation. It'll get you the same result but the real thing is so much better. |

| Agent Smith | Yeah, but you don't have to worry about some airplane following you around during lunch break telling you it's in love!

It would be cool to try it once...or twice...but no simulator can truly replicate the real thing. | |

Exactly. That's what zmiller meant by saying it would teach uncoordinated turns. Someone flies that for a while, figures he knows how to fly an airplane, then ignores the rudder in a real plane and flies uncoordinated. EDIT: Although looking at it, it seems it DOES have rudder pedals--it's just that it doesn't emulate that access. SO... it may be okay after all as far as that goes.... TBD....

"The DreamflyerTM captures the motion based on simple gravitational movements of the chair initiated by the user in response to the views on the screen. Close to what pilots do in the air. By using gravitational force to generate motions, the The DreamflyerTM has eliminated the need for hydraulics and motors and associated costly maintenance" Wait....so I simply lean in the direction of the pitch or bank and it does it? That's just a bunch of metal bars that pivot. This looked cool initially, but now it just sounds like a ripoff.
