THe Brazillia was another fun one. Got one in the sim one time and before I recovered, we had turned perpendicular to the runway and had flown through the top floor of the ASA building on the north side of the field. Thank God it was an non-jepordy event!

Just remember to look and see if the airplane uptrimmed for you before rushing for levers. If the ATPCS worked, you don't need to grab levers. Just confirm max power.

Then again, just do what your IPs tell you.

Don't even have to worry about that hehe. All I say is "Max Power" and the PM looks and confirms while all I work on is keeping the greasy side down

Man up, sonny!

Weak 2480hp engines set close to the fuselage of a 90ft long airplane with a huge rudder and ghetto-FADEC/ATPCS doesn't make for that difficult a V1 cut. I think the 1900, Metro, and Brasilia have the V1 cut hair-growing honors.

That being said, it's still a lot harder than an RJ, so enjoy it while you have the chance!

I can vouch for the big time leg workout you get with Brasilia V1 cuts. I'm sure the other turbo props are just as "enjoyable" too.

How did RJs get brought into this? A V1 cut in most turboprops will be more difficult than most business jets, regional jets or boeing/airbus aircraft. A V1 cut in an Airbus is not that bad, the plane even throws in rudder for you!

The mighty Excel does that too, and it's pretty nice!

I had a handful in the Falcon 10 sim one day when I decided to hit the wrong rudder on the V1 cut, whew! I still managed to keep from hitting the ground. That thing is a hoss too...370 kias single engine down low...yeah buddy!

Isn't that more than a RJ with both engines?
