| Hello. I was just wondering, what would happen if you're flying a General Aviation aircraft, a Cessna perhaps, and you included a "heavy" in your callsign? What would ATC and other pilots hearing that think? |

| Agent Smith | That you're trying to be cute and you've probably taken up .65 seconds of radio time for no purpose.

| I think I've heard that before on the radios. It's pretty lame...and that's coming from a person who has quite the sense of humor. |

| agree....they would all (yes every single person within range) think that you were a complete tool since we are on the subject... if you dont have it already, when you get a TIS in a GA airplane never see "ive got them on the fishfinder" in response to a traffic advisory never repeat anything from a top gun movie on the radio there are a few others but ill think of them and add later

I could do it in .47 seconds, and sound like a sex line operator.

| What's wrong with Nomex gloves? I wear them all the time--they're comfortable (but them again I am crash crewman and I get them pretty cheep). Last edited by jima7011; January 4th, 2008 at 01:54. Reason: corrected a spelling error-cheep is an intentional mispelling-it's kind of funny that I have to mention that :) |

| Agent Smith | Probably would be a leeeeeeeettle bit out of place in an airline operation.

| Ha Ha,Reminds me of a time i ferried an ag plane somewhere.I always wore a helmet when i flew and when i got on the big jet coming home i got lots of funny looks. I should have put it on when i got in my seat. Pre 9-11 T.C. |

| Senior Member | I did it several times post 9-11...not only the looks from the passengers, but also the TSA as we went through security. We carried ours in military surplus helment bags (company issued) and the looks on faces of the screeners when they opened the bag...priceless. I miss that job sometimes... |

| Senior Member | Boy, just the thought of buzzing someone at this time of night brings back lots of memories. Used to make my living spraying mosquitoes...multi engine aircraft, 300 ft AGL, at night...not for the weak hearted or weak stomached Been a while since I have done any "low and slow" flying...gotta stop thinking about it too, starting to get an itch... ![]() Edit: Freight is here, so I am headed home...'bout time. Sorry for taking over the thread...back to "Cessna HEAVY" now... |
