| Do you have to have the original written exam results paper to to take the PPL checkride, or can a faxed copy suffice?

| Happy New Year, You need to have the original. However, if you use IACRA and the examiner is flexible he may let you get away with the fax, since all he needs to input is the test number and IACRA pulls the information. If you need the original you should be able to go to CATS or Laser Grade, which ever you used and request another copy. Hope this helps |

| I doubt a copy would suffice. What would be the point in making testing centers produce embossed originals if something like a fax would do? Also, unless something has changed since I quit doing it, the testing center cannot replace a report; Only the FAA can. They have a form one can mail in to request a new copy. Edited to add: 61.29 says the Feds can fax you a new report, but not that a faxed report in general will do.

| One dollar to the FAA will get you a new original. http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certific...s_replacement/ |
