| Learjet FO Needed? I am somewhat of a late bloomer (47 years young!), having only started an aviation career only four years ago, when I received my private pilot certificate. Before that time, I had a successful management career in the telecom, high-tech and energy industries; I now possess a current LR-JET type rating.
Currently, I am a FSI ground instructor, teaching in the LR-JET series, and looking for the opportunity to fly, as I have nearly 1000 actual (50 in type) and over 700 in simulator. I also manage and teach all the non a/c specific courses; e.g, RVSM, HAT, etc.
Does anybody out there need a current LR-JET FO with my time? I would love to fly! |

| Re: Learjet FO Needed? You could get on with a freight outfit like Airnet and be flying a Lear 35 within a year - year and a half. You're only 200 away from part 135 mins, but we do hire SICs.

| Re: Learjet FO Needed? Certainly you must run across dozens of Learjet operators who might be able to help you find a position when you're at FSI... Any luck there?

I've had a couple of offers lately that sadly fell through at the last minute (over the last month!); so I continue the search! I'm just hindered because of my hours (1000 hours actual), I just need to get to 1500 hours of actual flight time and it would be a different subject. Unfortunately I cannot count my additional 700 hours I have in the sims acting as SIC for FSI clients on their initial and recurrent trainings! |

| Why is that? Sim time should count as TT, correct? Or do most insurance companies only accept so much sim? |
