I just looked at the route map from the PNCL Corp. Investor Presentation and gathered that.

With that being said- Revision 31 did have Myrtle Beach in there. Now that would be a hike in a turboprop...how long of a flight is that? In the Saab you're looking at 1:45-2:00. And with a headwind, dear god.

We can add this to the already large list of stuff about the Q that I learn on JC before I learn it from Colgan and I am an FO on the Q. And when I say before I learn it from Colgan......I wouldnt learn the routes unless I asked or until i got my schedule.

EWR to MYR is 478 miles and if it were a straight shot it would be roughly a 1 hour 18 minute flight give or take at a planned 350 knots. It is not as far as Midway which is 615nm.

Don't buy that route map a second. They are leaving out ALB, SYR, ROC, PIT (a crew base), BUF, BWI (another crew base). I think they are just throwing cities out there for the investors and to keep the competition guessing.

Also that PIT is still Airways, while we are going to start flying it for United this month.

I don't buy anything till the name is on the release, sitting in the airplane, ready to depart.

No places like JST, JHW, etc are going to be going to IAD instead of PIT.

On that presentation it is still showing all those going in and out of PIT.

Also- heard SYR is getting another Saab and it's going to LGA? So now 2 LGA Saabs in SYR...?

Anyone hear anything else?

We will probably have 4 to 6 bases within a year.

Pinnacle is...

"Analyzing Colgan route / aircraft flow structure to minimize maintenance and ferry costs"

You can't do that with 20+ bases.

There is also a CLE-EWR line which can not be flown under the current CAL scope clause as all hub to hub flying must be done by mainline.

Map busted.....again.

OK, the first schedule has been loaded into the CAL res system. It starts Feb 4th with:

ALB twice a day
BWI three a day
PIT twice a day

Thats all I could find based on that list and checking a few other airports that are within 400 miles of EWR.

Ah, the Guiding Principles of Pinnacle

Never compromise $avings
Commitement to Miscommunication
Ethics and Values.....but only if it benefits the elite
Commitment to personal development....upgrade and get the hell out of our airline
Respect for all Pinnacle people....until you start talking about a contract, then respect goes out the window.
Financial Responsibility....to the elite
Customer Service....oh come on. Anyone that's flown NWA can comment on THIS one
Commitment to Stakeholdera....except the labor groups

I actually get a little tired of seeing the guiding principles in print every where I go here, but I hardly EVER see them in actual practice.

Now, let's look at Page 7....the Pinnacle Holdings goals.

Lead the regional airline in operating performance....hard to do when the pilots hate your guts

Maintain a competitive cost structre....what we mean is keep people on a 1999-2005 pay scale for as long as possible so we can cash in on our stock options

Invest in positive growth and reward investors.....namely ourselves

Foster a culture where Pinnacle People enjoy working....well, here's goal that doesn't even look like it's being ATTEMPTED at any level.

As for the Page 11 "industry standard contract terms," I'm betting they're referring to the ASA with Delta. They keep preaching "industry standard" in our negotions, but the standards have gone UP since the last time they looked aparently. They're not even close to Mesaba's CONCESSIONARY contract or ASA's new deal, much less XJT's contract. To quote a CA I flew with "We're not on the bottom, but we can see it from here."

If you pay attention ot the chart on page 17, at the end of the year, we got our asses handed to us in completion factor. All but one regional out did us in Sept-Aug 07. We're doing okay on on-time arrivals, but mishandled bags goes through the roof. However, I can't honestly blame mishandled bags on Pinnacle. I'm betting that has a LOT to do with NWA, and esp Mesaba ground personnel in MSP and DTW.

On page 23, they talk about the labor philosophy. They mention competitive pay rates, but they don't mention that it's competitive with Mesa's current rates. What they've offered barely gets us even with inflation from the last contract, and it CERTAINLY doesn't keep up with inflation over the life of the contract. Nevermind the fact that those pay rates get erased when you factor in the raised health care premiums they want.

Colgan guys. Read between the lines on this. It pretty much says (as Seggy's already pointed out), the outstation basing has its days numbered. Also says the Beech will be gone in 2008, but we knew that was coming. The best way to reduce the number of ferry flights and cut MX costs is to hub the flights.
