| Ok, so I just got back from deployment in Africa a couple of months ago and have been looking for a school to finish up my IFR/COMM at. My girlfriend also wants to get her Commercial. Anywhoooo... she was on a plane home for christmas and there was a pilot sitting next to her catching a ride to Houston and they sparked up a conversation about flight schools and he swore by MESA. I cant remember, but I vaguely remember very bad things about MESA and I didnt wanna just come out of the gate shooting it down without knowing a whole lot about it.... ... flame on....

| MAPD used to be a good program and delivered what it promised. It seems there have been some staff changes recently and it has gone down hill considerably. I'd steer clear.

| MAPD is pointless now. Mesa will hire anyone with multi-comm, 1st class medical, and a (reasonably) clean criminal background check.

| Agreed. I think the Farmington/San Juan/PACE programs are pointless. The 4-year ASU program isn't as pointless, as it is just another 4-year college program that gets you all of your certs (even CFI, II) and a degree. Although the ASU/MPD program hasn't necessarily gotten worse over the years, the benefit of going to such a program is no longer there. Like someone said above, if regionals are going to hire people with wet multi/commercial then there's really no reason to go to such a program that 'guarantees' an interview with a regional. Big deal. ![]()

| The dishwashing job I had in high school treated me a lot better than Mesa ever did.

| That program is bottom line crap Mesa will hire anybody. Get it done cheap at an FBO and they will hire you with a wet commercial temp. |

| Hypothetically, can't that be said about many, if not all, the regionals now? Explain to me, please the differences in hiring criterias excluding the hours flown? |
