Default A couple of questions.

1:

Has anyone used the Sporty's Private Pilot DVD's? How are they? I recieved the sample DVD in the mail and it really helped quite a bit. I'm not sure if they just choke that full of useful information to make it seem better then it is or not. Is it worth the $200.00 for the whole PPL dvd kit? Does anyone have the PPL kit and are looking to get rid of it?

2:

What are the requirements for flying out of the US? Say if I want to fly to Canada from Illinois how would I go about doing that with just my PPL? Do I have to check in anywhere with my passport? Is it the same for Mexico?

The Jeppesen Private Pilot kit will provide you with everything you need to become a compitent PP and pass the checkride. I guess it all depends on how you learn? If having visual/oral instruction (like a dvd) is your way, then I guess it could help, but if you ask me, your paying a lot of extra money for material already offered in the jep kit.
