Default No place to eat Turkey Dinner?

If you are one of the unfortunates away from home on T-day, I open my door to you:

I will pick you up in the PHL area (preferably no further south than ILG or north of ABE).

Feed you (Gettin' up early to cook the Turkey - it's from the butcher - no stinkin Perdue hormone crap).

Take you back.

Now, mind you this is nothing fancy - it's loaf on the couch and eat at the couch kind of day - but if it means making you feel at home, then mission accomplished.

My g/f will also cater to your drinking needs.

Freakin' awesome man, this is what it's all about.

If I were back home over Thanksgiving I'd offer the same.

I suppose this would be as good a place to post it as any. Any AWACers or CJC guys (or other people) going to be the ORF/PHF area on Turkey day? I get done at 3:30 and am going to be looking for a restaurant that is open to get some Turkey Dinner at. Anybody around who wants to join me?

It's the worst part about the job, being away from home when it matters most, huh? I'm on reserve thanksgiving day, which is nice because my family is in base, but my family is going to Jacksonville, NC. Go figure!

that is very classy of you to offer that hospitality... If i had a better place i would offer that too (but someone would have to cook the turkey though since i have no idea)

I'll offer up a Turkey Day dinner to anyone in the Indy area who may need it

If anyone's here and needs food, you and your entire crew are welcome here. Just PM me.

disclaimer: My kids will be here. If you can't deal with a 2 year old and a 4 year old, keep that in mind

If anyone is going to be in XNA, drop me a PM. I'm sure I can talk the wife into setting a few more places at the table.

I'll join the club on this one...the offer is also open in the JAX area (as long as I'm home, which it looks like I will be). Sorry, can't go to Orlando to pick you up but will have the spread available for all those in rednecksville ( okay JAX). You have to put up with my inlaws, but they are harmless (very good people).

PM me if you're in the area. Same goes for Christmas as I *should* have it off also. The door's wide open...

Any JC'ers going to be in the New York area over the holiday? I'm thinking of heading home to see my family and wouldn't mind a little get together say Wednesday night?

Ya mon, I'll be around NYC. Finishing up my trip early wed afternoon and somehow will actually be home for a holiday (ANY holiday) for the first time in about 6 years. Crazy.

Directed at you? Absolultely not! However, you were the inspiration to put the comment in there I really just wanted to give fair warning to anyone who may be thinking about accepting to know that there would be two little rugrats running around. Kind of like making sure everyone one invites to a playgroup knows there would be a cat present, that way if someone's allergic to cats they can make their decision accordingly
