What STAR brings you into rwy 27R over NJ? Never fails everytime I fly back home that we fly past the airport..over my home in south NJ and loop back around over the WW Bridge. Thanks!

There are a few that come in that way. The Cedar Lake (VCN) arrival comes in from the south of the airport and dumps you at the Woodstown VOR. The Dupont arrival comes in about the same way but for more inland traffic.

STAR, or instrument approach? A couple of the STARs could bring you in from the south and over the WW. Both the Cedar Lake and DuPont arrivals come in from the south, but seeing that you're mentioning a landmark within 3 or 4 miles of the runway makes it sound like you could be talking about an instrument approach.

Only the RNAV arrivals (BOJID and SPUDS) actually put you on a final for a runway. Everything else just dumps you at a fix near the airport (OOD, SPUDS, TERRI or BUNTS). From there they give you vectors depending on what they are landing and how backed up the final is. Also, both the RNAV arrivals keep you to the north of the airport so you wouldn't be flying over NJ on either of them. The only way you'd be going over the Walt Whitman is landing the 27s (or 26) or a VERY wide downwind for 35.

Best I can guess is if you overflew southern NJ AND the bridge you probably came in on the Ceder Lake or Dupont arrivals and then got vectors to final for the 27s.

thanks Bob,
After looking at the app plates at work, it appears to be the Cedar Lake Arrival from my recollection. Thanks guys!
