Default Bose headset + iPod = tool?

Ok...quick, weird question. I have a Bose headset and an adapter to fit it onto my iPod. It sounds really good. Would it be socially acceptable for me to wear this on a commercial flight or would everyone just give me strange looks?

I actually did that once. But its too hard to pull out the headset and plug everything in. I'm sure I got weird looks though.

I took my headset on a Big Sky flight. Got a 'thumbs up' from the FO.

screw 'em. I'd take them and then when people start looking at you, flip the mic down and start talking to yourself..." Welcome to McDowells, Can I take your order please....?"

I have used them with my ipod on the rapid transit a few times. The train is so loud through the tunnels that it is nice to have the quiet environment of the headset. I just put black tape over the BOSE so people won't realize they are expensive and want to steal them. They look like old beat up headsets.

We both got two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions, but their buns have sesame seeds. Our buns have no seeds.

I've worn my bose headsets twice when sitting in the back of a Saab. I didn't have my earplugs on me so I wore my headset, it's LOUD back there.

Like most said... Who cares? Unless you take flights to make some social hook ups then do it.

For $149 you can get the real things at Best Buy. They're not the QC2 or the QC3, but they're Bose and they're just as good. I think they're actually like a step down from either of the those two.

Why, if you already have the headset and the adapter?
