Don't show up for an interview with Chautauqua without knowing how to spell CHAUTAUQUA.

(Lake Chautauqua is near Jamestown, NY -- where the company was founded -- and is Indian for "Bag tied in the middle" to reflect the shape of the lake.)

You can come to Cape Air. I don't know why everyone overlooks us. It's a great way to gain experience, you're home every night, get paid duty time, and you get to fly in paradise (the USVI)!

We have a former Cape Air pilot here who is outstanding. Flying in and out of Boston throughout the year, into a high density airport, in all weather conditions, in a piston twin apparently is a pilot builder. It offers experience that few other operations can offer.

(Well except for former Metroliner and Jetstream pilots...but I might be a little biased)

Don't tell people lies. Chautauqua is Native American for Ugly Flight Attendant.

Right... shape of the lake... that's the bag they're talkin' about....

Oh... btw....while we're on the "be able to spell it" topic.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be able to spell "hangar" correctly. Pilots who spell it "hanger" look like total dorks.....

Something doesn't fly here.
So I'm still curious about these qualifications...I assume you are not a doctor, or are you? A doctor that works as a Mechanic?? Did you lose your license to practice medicine, I guess I could see that.??

In defense of MDPilot, I knew an MD who got burned out on the profession, quit it all, and now walks dogs. Her husband still continues to work in the industry though.

So, it's not too far out of the realm of possibility.

MD's have to put up with many things, like ridiculous 24 hour shifts at hospitals and stuff like that during their training. Can you imagine if a regional forced pilots in IOE to be on duty and fly for 24 hours continuously, with no sleep?

In defense of me, I'm not the one whose claiming Doctor status, that is PistolPak. I just reported what's on his profile.

I could have told you that from the grammar in his posts.

My profile does not say anything to my profession. I am not a doctor but I play one on TV.... My grammar does suck thats why I dont do things like write text book. My spelling also sucks as well. Plus its hard to sound out chautauqua. In short I dont take time to edit; is this being graded? Iam ok with it, why aren't you? This is all fun, getting your panties in a knot only reflects on you.

In all seriousness (and I swear I'm just trying to help), making an attempt to write well gives you credibility as a professional. I forget who it was, but someone started a thread about Republic Airlines, but misspelled it "Rebublik." It's really hard to take someone seriously if they can't spell the name of the airline they'd like to work for.

Not good enough? Then the reason I'm "not okay with it" is because it is a pain to read through someone's very poorly written post. Nobody is saying to be perfect - just make an attempt.
