We're down to just two types now, at least internationally. You'll have to ask someone with more experience on the airframe like MDPilot or, *cough* PeanuckleCRJ.

At SJ the 764 guys only fly 764s, and no other pilots fly them. At the other airline that flies them the '756' pilots fly the 764 along with the 762s and 757s

If you're going to school on the 757/767 or 767-400, you actually do 757/767 ground school and flight training. If you're a domestic 757/767 pilot, you're done. If you're going to the "ER"/international, you'll do a long-range navigation school including some international simulator procedures training. If you're going to the "-400", you'll do "ER"/international school plus -400 differences. We keep domestic, international and -400 ops as three separate categories entirely.

It's the airline business. You're thinking too hard!

| Old Skool | Quote: Day 1 of ground school is a test with about 12 other students If & when you pass, next stage is a couple of days of ground school, followed by another test, if & when you pass, you go on to the device phase (1 or 2 Fix Base Simulator sessions followed by about 6-8 full flight sim sessions) They save money by the students completing most of the ground school requirements at home.... | |
