| Any one have any news about IATA in Tucson? (KRYN). What is it really like teaching there? How about living in the area? Thanks |

| Hey CFII2008, IATA is no more! I had a buddy who got a job there as a dispatcher a few months ago and they told him they would help pay for his flight training. Well I guess they had some serious disagreements with the Chinese who were providing them with the funding and so finally the Chinese stopped funding them and they had to shut their doors. The only other academy I know of at KRYN is National Pilot Academy which I have heard from others on here is a poorly run operation. I got my private out at KRYN at a place called Tyconic, a small, but well run operation for the most part if you want to check them out. You also might want to check out Tucson Aerospace Center at KAVQ and then the place I am getting my commercial at, Sonoran Wings at KTUS. PM me if you have any more questions, Chris |
