so I am bouncing around the web and stop by the PNCL website. I was looking at their F/O listing and besides the usual 'preferred' requirements they throw in this little caveat: Quote:
To me that's like joining the Navy and having to be told that you may have to travel across water on a ship. And believe me they were plenty of people that thought they wouldn't have to see a ship....

That's funny. I saw that a while back, too. At first I thought it was maybe some type of policy for writing official job descriptions, but then again, I've never seen it on other airlines' web sites - that I can recall.

Sounds like someone having fun that works on the website. We used to see what we could get past the editors for machine manuals.

It's a legal thing - when you lay out the requirements for a job, you have to be very explicit - that way no one comes back and says "I have a disability that prohibits me from traveling more than X miles from home" etc. etc.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me to get a new FO saying "Well, JetU told me I'd have every night at home." Which would be true IF you had the seniority to hold day trips and IF we were staffed well enough to actually HAVE day trips again.
