| Re: Thailand crash landing Terrible tragedy. I have a lot of people over in Thailand right now, hope none of them were on that flight. Initial reports are saying the passengers were mostly Europeans. I know it's futile to speculate, but it kind of sounds like wind shear. |

Doesn't really matter. This was a standard ops accident. Thunderstorm on the airport and operations continue. Most make it in OK but occasionally someone gets to die. Same old, same old

| Re: Thailand crash landing Part of whatever automatic weather reporting system they use there was not working. Another plane had landed 4 minutes prior, but I guess from what they said on tv that possibly the pilot got told not to land. On the airline website they have the passenger manifest and the names of the survivors, would an airline in US or Europe ever post that on there website? |
