That is sad. I've flown on them as well. Bangkok-Chang Mai.

Terrible tragedy.
I have a lot of people over in Thailand right now, hope none of them were on that flight. Initial reports are saying the passengers were mostly Europeans. I know it's futile to speculate, but it kind of sounds like wind shear.

One-To-Go always had a really shady safety background. I wouldn't have flown on them. RIP.

If you were trying to non-rev from Bangkok to Chang Mai in July you would!

Does anyone know or did anyone mention what the reported winds were?

The aircraft, operated by Thai budget carrier One-Two-GO, crashed shortly after landing. The passenger jet skidded off the runway during a landing attempt amid heavy rain and strong crosswinds, according to Thai News Agency, Thailand's national news agency. The aircraft burst into flames shortly after impact, an eyewitness said.

Doesn't really matter. This was a standard ops accident. Thunderstorm on the airport and operations continue. Most make it in OK but occasionally someone gets to die. Same old, same old

Part of whatever automatic weather reporting system they use there was not working. Another plane had landed 4 minutes prior, but I guess from what they said on tv that possibly the pilot got told not to land.

On the airline website they have the passenger manifest and the names of the survivors, would an airline in US or Europe ever post that on there website?
