Default For all of You Hard Eight Lovers

You know longer have to make a trip to SEP for Hard Eight BBQ anymore. According to their website, http://www.hardeightbbq.com/home.html , there is one right here in DFW and it is right up from my hotel also.

Alllllright!

I just don't think it would be the same... after all... half of the experience is the trip out there followed by dodgeing traffic in the golf cart!

And the Samford and Son-esque junk yard. You got bonus points for tossing people off the back of the cart on the rocky terrain.....double points if it was Todd.

I just don't think the Coppell location will not have the same atmosphere. I'd be really surprised to roll up and have a full trailer load of livestock parked out front, like I have in SEP then turn to the passengers and beller, "yup gonna be a fresh meal today." Truthfully thanks for the heads up and will try it out, it surely beats the boring Colters and Spring Creek.

The Hard Eight in Coppel sucks. It ain't the same and I could smack the owners in the mouth for trying to cash in on the name in DFW. Typical franchising out to make more cash at the sacrifice in quality.

It isn't worth it then? That really is sad. My father was in the restaurant business for 30 years and can attest to how difficult it is to keep consistency and quality throughout a system.

I ate there today. The location is not good. Of course, the food was great! At least it's close to the hotel they have me held up in.

Nothing like keeping the cart floored in bitter cold winds.

That was my favorite trip. Someday I'll have to take advantage of the free beer, you and Matt know how much I took advantage of the free beans

They have re-routed the golf cart route. When it rains, you get stuck. Very nice.

I'm a little upset because I had to leave a whole pork chop and some ranch beans behind this morning that I had left over from yesterday.

Man, I could go for some Hard Eight BBQ right about now. I agree with what others have said though, the flight and golf cart ride was half the fun of it.

They still haven't fixed that yet?? Nothing better than getting covered in mud on the ride over!

I got the red one buried a few months back. Had to walk back to the airfield and get someone to tow it out.

My school is doing a flyout to SEP for Hard 8 this coming Saturday. We'll be getting in around 10 and leaving by 12-12:30. If anyone is headed that way, lemme know, or look for a white Cessna and nice shiny red and white Arrow(I'll be in the Arrow

Yep....and you asking if you could put your sausage in Matt's box. Classic.

Ryan, I think most of those girls are still in high school.

I've debated jumpseating to Dallas and stealing a Skymates 172 to go to Hard Eight.

Wait? Been done?

Ok hows about splitting the costs of a 172 with like six guys?

I think 20 of their 50 hindi sects do.

Seriously, I have taken some there and they love it. They are in awe of the beef!! I usually ask before we go if they are meat eaters. It would suck for a vegitarian.

I want to make a trip to Stephenville so bad. My buddy Dustin talks about how good the hard eight is. BBQ is one of my favorite meals....ever. I thank God for it. Seriously, this thread is making my mouth water.

One of my veggie students still wanted to go. She got a potato and corn on the cobb.

Ya know, this discussion would have been something I would not understand had I not walked into Skymates to buy some charts yesterday. I was gonna ask for Ryan and say hi, but I somehow figured he would appreciate not being unnecessarily bothered.

Oh...I just figured out Mojo is Morgan...I guess I did meet you!

I took an Indian student, who was vegetarian, there once. The only thing he could get was to corn and the potato. I felt so bad for him.

My brother text me that he polished off my pork chop with some mashed potatos yesterday. That sucks! I'm thinking of dis-owning him.
