Default Oxygen Bottle???

I am working on restoring a T210 (Airplane restoration) and we have discovered that the factory installed Oxygen bottle is missing. I have been searching the vast interweb but have not been able to find a replacement. We would rather not have to use a portable.

Does anybody know where to find a replacement for the installed bottle??

1967 Cessna T210G

oxygen bottles have fairly standardized fittings, just buy a tank of adequate capacity and hook it up.

first page of googling "oxygen bottle cessna" came up with this:
http://www.o2instrument.com/parts-equip.asp

heck, call cessna and ask them for the specs of the bottle you need to replace.

I have found tons like that that will service your bottle or parts, but so far none that have replacement bottles.

According to the A&P mechanic we need the certified bottle to pass an annual inspection.

Believe me, the first thing I thought was to hit the medical supply store and hook it up.

none of those service places you called could refer you to a dealer or someone who could supply new/refurbished tanks?

if they do service on parts they should be able to point you in the right direction to get new ones, even if they can just give a manufacturer name of the bottles thats a step in the right direction.

WHOA!!! That's why they're so strict with this stuff . . . because otherwise, somebody would try to use medical O2 instead of Aviator's Dry Breathing O2.

There's a difference there . . .

Maybe call Cessna customer service and ask them to point you in the right direction.

Cessna Aircraft Company: 1-800-4CESSNA

Cessna single engine Owners & Operators: 316-517-5800

or possibly:

Cessna Owners Organization: 1-888-692-3776

Cessna Pilots Association: 1800-343-6416

Cessnaparts.com

Iwantcessnaparts.com

cessnaaircraftparts.com

I'm sure someone at one of those places could help you find a source for what you're looking for.

If those don't work try Air Salvage of Dallas (www.asod.com). Ask for Lucky.
