I currently have my CFII and I am working on my CFI add-on. I had to apply for a loan to pay for this add-on and while I was waiting I thought wat the heck, why dont I send in a resume to Piedmont thinking I had no shot. A few days after I sent them my resume I got an email inviting me to an interview on the 13th of September. The problem is, I got my CFII in March of 06' and I have only flown about 2 hours since then. I have no problem instructing for a few months to gain some hours but should I attend this interview? Should I go down there knowing I am gonna get shot down cause of recency of flight experience and just use this as an interview experience or do I just call them up, be up front about my situation and tell them I will just interview another time. I know Im stupid for even sending them a resume knowing I am not even current but I honestly thought they were going to email me telling me to resumit my resume when I had a few more hours. Any advice. Flame away... Nick |

I dont know, I would be up front with them and tell them. But if you still want to attend the interview, I would say go rent a 152 or something (go up with an instructor to get checked out until you are comfortable) and get current again. And also if the local flight school has a frasca or something close to it, rent it and practice some approaches for the interview. Dont rush it tho, the regionals will be hiring for a while so if you want to instruct, go for it and knock it out. But if you are dead set on the interview, go get current and practice before heading up there.....Good luck
