I would keep your sim time in a seperate logbook; as I am. And yes, instrument approaches are valid for currency in a level D sim, or any FTD that represents the aircraft and is an approved FTD by the FAA for that matter as per the regs.

It is a full sim, actual cockpit and everything but it is non motion, so it is not a level d sim, do the appr still count if not in motion sim?

Dude, if your talking Army flight school, logging that in a civilian logbook ain't worth it. All that time is useful for only certificates and ratings, all of which you'll get through the FAA after flight school anyway through a simple written test. What's gonna count is your actual in-aircraft time, and I recommend you log all that accurately.

By the time you're done with flight school and your 6 year commitment, sim time ain't gonna mean nothing. Trust me.

I think so... those old Huey sims... are they still there?

Great stuff... and awesome training. A lot of the stuff I teach instrument students today came straight from the mouth of my instrument instructor at Rucker.
