| Junior Member | Also I was landing in BWG the other afternoon and I noticed there was a truck sitting by the first taxi way with lights and as soon as I got ready to turn off the lights came on. I was like wtf am I getting pulled over in an airplane, but then I heard them on the radio and it was the feds checking something out at the airport, needless to say I got out of there so I wouldn't have to answer any questions. |

| being ramp checked is really not as bad as people say. just dont do stupid things that are illegal and you wont have a problem. i lost count of how many times ive been ramped but its probably around 30. fsdo is on the field and thats their way of getting out and about. never had a problem. now there are some feds that dont have a flying background and have no clue what they are talking about. if they give you #### then call their supervisor or the head of their fsdo. anyway moral is dont fly when you shouldnt and you will be fine

| I got ramp checked my third day of IOE. I wasn't even at the plane! I was eating lunch in CHO and flashed the ID and made me stop eating. There were two of them, it was good cop, bad cop to the extreme!!! |

| Old Skool | I had one a long time ago when I was a student pilot flying out of one of the DC3 airports. I was like, uh, what? You're coming HERE to do a ramp check, where everyone flying has passed a criminal background check with fingerprinting and an interview at the FSDO? |

| As a side note, certs. must be surrendered in writing. You can't just hand them over to the FAA, even if you want to. |
