Here's a question for you Colgan Saab FOs. I'm about to begin sim training. I was given the flows to memorize, and I have those down. What else can I do in advance to be well prepared? Thanks.

I don't work for Colgan but, from my experience if you have flows, callouts and profiles down then it will definitely make your life easier. Go in eager to learn and try not to take any criticism personally and the experience will be a real positive one. Good Luck and have fun.

Non-Colgan specific advice: - You will come out of the sim some days wondering if you can cut it... you can with a positive and HUMBLE attitude. - You will feel like you can't fly an airplane if you're life depended on it... you can. - Don't take yelling personally. It happens. - Take a look at departure procedures and approach plates. Refresh your knowledge of the IFR system. Good luck! We're all counting on you.
