Default I was sitting home the other day...

...relaxing with my girly and who pops up on my caller ID but Airdale (Dave). This is how the conversation went...

Dave..."Mark I need your help I am lost."

Mark (me)..."ok..."

Dave..."I am at LaGuardia Airport where is the USAIRWAYS TERMINAL? I AM LOST, I CAN"T FIND THE TERMINAL, AND I HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH. WHAT DO I DO?"

Now, for those who have been to LGA, the USAIRWAYS TERMINAL has a HUGE and I mean HUGE logo like this...

On the side of the building. I have had good luck finding USAIRWAYS flight out of that buidling with that logo on the side of it.

Dang FNGs...

Where was he calling you from that he couldn't find it?

There's not that many choices of terminals to be in at LGA......? When all else fails, follow the signs!

I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU MARK!!!!!!!!!!! You dirty turd you!!

Way to throw a fellow Colgan pilot under the bus!!

For those inquiring minds - heres the deal right. I drive up to LGA from my house in Jersey and park in the long term parking lot. Keep in mind folks, this is the first time I've ever driven to LGA, parked there and entered the terminal. So I go inside a terminal, come to find out later on its Terminal B. I go through security only to find out I'm the only one wearing US Airways colors. Great. So I start walking around and then learn that you can not go from terminal to terminal, as you can in PHL or EWR (which I'm most used to travelling). So...I go out of security, call hairy the bigfoot here, and ask him where the heck the US Airways terminal is!?

I had two choices, walk 1/2 mile to the left or 1/2 mile to the right. I wanted to be sure I went in the right direction. And NO, there isn't a big US Airways sign or logo from the ground pointing you in the right direction. So, being the smart guy that I am, I walk over to a fence and look through out on the ramp. Immediately I get my bearing based on the aircraft parked out there and I knew our gates were to the South. So I walked on over to the south, Terminal C, went back through security and caught my flight. Thats it.

End'O Story. It could happen to anyone, I swear. When you're flying for US Airways Express, and you're in a terminal where everyone else has Gold bars...yeah...you might be a redneck. Or just in the wrong terminal. I'm not stupid I swear!

If the flight lasts more than 45 minutes, your head will be pile drived through the side of the hangar in Albany...Any questions?

Yea, I was going to say, you would be excused if you were in Terminal B when you started looking for USAirways. From out here in Cali I cannot think of anyway to know where USAirways or Delta/Northwest is from Terminal B.

Worse yet imagine you came on the Delta Shuttle(into the Marine Air Terminal) and started to look for USAirways?

Or it still can get even worser than that. Imagine you came in on the Delta Shuttle(Marine Air Terminal) and had to connect on a regular Delta Flight, and didn't know that Delta was on the other side of the field!

It looks like Airdale has done good.

35 minutes airtime and a 29 minute early arrival.

You are spared to fly another day

Thats right, we pushed off the gate like 15 minutes early and cruised up pretty good. See we know what its like when you want to get home. I was itchin to get on the road back home to Jersey anyway. Thanks for the landing compliment there Mark. Too bad the only landings you see like that are when you're not the one flying!

You don't scare me tough guy!
