First class passengers carried by food stamp recipients. Does it come with I-Pod docks?

Welcome to the world of 70+ seat flying for DL. We were operating CVG-CUN with 700's. It's a longistical nightmare for AOG aircraft. Now with the "new and Improved" DL with more intl routes, the 900's are going to be in the mix until DL can get more larger a/c in it's inventory.

Past time actually...

Yes I know that we would all rather have them flown by mainline, but here we are and I am glad that something is looking up for the guys at Comair. Hope ASA gets some good news too.

It sucks that it still means no growth, but its better than shinkage. maybe those 14 -200s are going to China in exchange for MD-90s. One can hope.

nah, kind of like replacing 2 older 50's for one new 90. maybe we fly less planes, but capacity actually increases. of course crews don't need to be added with this trade but that can be a good thing...less crews, more capacity, maybe that'll mean better pay (i know that probably won't happen, but it should). would be sweet to ditch all the 50's for 70/90's...imagine jfk with half the number of "small" regional aircraft clogging up the works. then there is the question of whether a 76 seat aircraft is still a "regional" a/c...i don't know, but there should be an industry wide solution to that. and no "special" concessions for some carriers to get 90/100/etc..seat a/c and still operate as a regional. thats crap. pick a number, stick to it, support it.

When the CRJ-900 first appeared on the planet, it was configured with 6 first class and 78 coach for MAG's HPX flying. HP soon realized that most of those seats were filled by cheap upgrades, not full-fare tickets, so the cabins were reconfigured for 86 coach.

Having that first class seat in that tube makes a world of difference. The snacks and service may still be questionable, but that added leg and elbow room is great.

There are benefits to doing recurrent ground at the CEC rather than some hotel conference room.
