Experience: Just over 3000 hours, Captain for ExpressJet Airlines, CRM Facilitator, former Windy City pilot, Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors. Short-Term Goals: Keep growing as a competent leader, pay off debt so I can relax and not work as many days per month, meet more friends and reacquaint with old ones that I neglected over the past few years. Long-Term Goals: Get hired with Southwest Airlines, and get based in MDW again. Purchase a house somewhere in the Chicago area, become completely independent, then find someone to settle down with and have a family. Buy a boat, and keep said boat. Spend more time worrying about my family than I do this job.

| Old Skool | Funniest post in the thread, a good five second giggle. I can't hope to compete, so heres this: Experience: A gentleman never tells, but I do have ~3000 hours and I'm holding EWR CA with ExpressJet, upgrade training in Aug. Short Term Goals: Order some chicken wings, extra spicy. Long Term Goals: Just before I die, to say my final farewells to all my devoted fans from a massive Jumbotron visible from geosyncrounous orbit in space so that the entire Eastern seaboard will be able to view my wrinkly 157-year old visage and simultaneously mourn my passing and flash me hooters from the lawn seats. Naturally, I will not die, but will be frozen in Carbonite (I should be very well protected) and blasted into space at high relatavistic velocities, in hopes that when a cure for old age is found it will not have the side-effect of reducing awesomeness. During the launch, my self-composed funderal dirge will be played over a sound system loud enough to shake the Great Wall of China to it's foundation from Detroit. The song title will be entitled "Holy $#!t, There Goes CapnJim!" and will be played live by an orchestra featuring 5,000 electric guitars, a thousand electric key-tars, and at least 400 TR808 drum machines. Make no mistake, nothing sounds quite like an eight-oh-eight. Moneymakin'. Of course, I will happily settle for the chicken wings. Extra spicy. |

Experience: 10 yrs as an A&P Mechanic, 4 hrs logged toward PPL, begin training again this June. Short term goal: Survive another Phoenix summer, lose 25 lbs, try to stay healthy, finish my PPL by Fall, followed up with more ratings. Long term goal: Get out of the MX side of aviation and fly for a living. With my experience as a mechanic, corporate sound feasible. Maybe move back to TX closer to my family. Al

I'm 23, and am working on my instrument rating. My short term goal is to have all of my ratings completed, and be flight instructing by this time next year. I hope to fly for an airline, shortly after that. I hope, like most here, to make it to a legacy. First in mind, is Delta. The reason goes back to when I was just a little kid. My Grandma would always fly in to visit during Christmas, and would always fly on Delta. It was a huge thrill for me to go to the airport with my parents to pick her up. It was always an MD-88 ... so I have this thing about MD-80's, and Delta.
